Unless you have the O2 sensors disconnected the ECU is going to try to put the fuel back to 14.7 by maxing the trims, which will mess up your driveabililty.

If you have the sensors unplugged, then 16.2 is a good target. I got 25 mpg in my GN (not stock...) at 70 mph, with the A/C on. I was running about 16.2
I had some occaisional bucking, but the plug wires are about shot...
