Very nice write up.
If I may make a few comments as I've done this myself also.
While you made no mention of the headrest they were a pita to get the new skins on until my father in-law showed me a few tricks as he's a retired upolster. All you have to do is use some of the dry cleaner bags that your dry cleaning comes in and it makes it sooooooooo much easier to get the leather to fit as it doesn't stick to the foam but rather slides right over it into place allowing you to conform it into shape easiely. This works on both the headrests and also the seat backs themselves as they can be a little tricky also. I also used some exta wadding material here and there to get a tight fit. Another important thing that you left out and I"m sure you'll remember it well as it gave me hell was the seat belt bracket next to the headrest. It's held in with a c-clip that's almost impossible to reach without the use of some looooong ass pliers as you cannot get your hand in there to install it.
But definitly one of the best mods I've done to my car was these seats covers from leatherseats.com
