Busted VSS can cause a valve to snap and mess up the cylinder. This happened to cbatters six months ago.

But yes, that would cause black smoke, not white. I missed that. Must have been all the cough syrup I drank....all the statements of "...you just don't listen to me!" from every bad relationship are coming back to me. Must drink more Vicks 44 to stop the pain late at night- when the demons come.
