for the idle, you need to watch the O2's and O2 trims to see what the ECU is trying to do, if the idle is too far off, the ECU gives up and runs open loop at idle. give me some idea of the trims at idle.

The light coasting stuff sounds like the ECU is doing some lean decel stuff. When you put large injectors in and rescale the airflow, the thresholds for the decel enleanment and coastdown fuel cutoff get shifted up. watch the O2 trim when this hapens and see if the ECU has frozen it at 80 or 100. the fix is to tune this region slightly rich. The ECU will still correct it back to 14.7, but during "coastdown" it won't go so lean.

You don't need another load range, but you may want to try tuning the VE table with the laptop..... you can make really fine adjustments this way.....
