For those of you that have the AEM EMS fully setup, this brings up two questions. Is it normal for the AEM EMS to take long starts (ie. 4-5 seconds)? And is it normal that you have to try more than once to start?
I helped imztt setup his AEM EMS, and his car does the exact same behaviour. So I'm feeling a little disappointed with the standalone at this time.

Yes. Mine takes 2-4 seconds to start. When turn the key into ign pos wait for 1-2 second, aem does some initialization (my stock boost gauge jumps up and then down). Then crank the car. I did not play much with amout of initial fuel and initial inj time but it starts fairly quick when the car is cold.
Just keep in mind that this is universal EMS , it will not be 100% as stock, but as long as those not stock behaviours are acceptable I am good.
