One thing I've noticed is that it doesn't seem to be necessarily the case that microsec/bit is stored/transferred from a map in one car to another car when installing someone else's map.

It is always best to note msec/bit on the donor car and specifically set it on the target car when sharing maps. It'd be particularly useful if we started to put the msec/bit value in the comments area of the map when saved.
