you don't need to get new intake pipes to run speed density. it would be silly to not upgrade the pipes. but it's not required.
you can run the map setup, with the stock mas sensor installed, but disconneted, and the stock filter or k&n or whatever still on there.
with stock turbos you probably aren't seeing too much of a restriction with the mas sensor in place. but it's one of those things that wouldn't make much sense to keep around if you don't need it. it's only going to hinder performance, maybe not right away, but probably once you start some upgrades to the car.
