honestly speaking, if i could get the AEM to run at a level consistant with a stock ECU, i'd be satisfied a the time being.. like i said, the car is a project in the works, so reading thru the 230+ page manual and potentially spending hours and hours tuning over the weekend(s) is something that i wouldnt mind doing..
thank you guys very much for the clear input and whenever i decide to get an AEM atleast i now know what i'd be getting into..
well, to kind of change the subject, what brandname wide band O2 gauges would you reccommend?..
and this question may have been asked earlier in this thread, but what is meant by "speed density"?.. what all goes into setting that up..

Speed density eliminates the MAS and all of its limitations. You need new intake pipes about $200 air intake temp [AIT] sensor and a manifold air pressore sensor [MAP] around 200-300 for both together. My car has a AEM [brand] gauge type wide band o2 sensor about $450.00. It is a gauge and a sensor and can talk directly to the AEM computer. Other wide bands O2 can also be used some have gauges some don't.
