Default Re: 1993 Car & Driver Six Car Comparo Article w/ VR-4

Swiss army knife. Thats funny. Supra dominated the straightline stuff and at the track. I'll keep my 3s though. I read one a while back with just the 7, a stealth, and the lt1.

I think its a fair assessment of the cars stregnths and weaknesses. Mitsu had a lot of short comings from the factory and the main one was the 9b. Weight aside if they had just used the parts they were already using on the eclipses, the 3s would be seen in a different light today. 14b's or 13g's stock, 450 inj's stock, if if if if if if. Many ifs but I am happy with what they did put out. Slowly but surely there is an aftermarket and we can put on all that stuff ourselves.

Look how far the vette has come since that time. The next zo6 will be 7.0 litres and 500 hp. Supposedly an 11 sec car stock, and the regular c6 is low 12's @ 117 stock. I wonder how much mitsu would have changed since 99 if the vr4 was still going today. Maybe we would have a watered down vr4 comparable to a 350z (300z>350z).
