aerOvr-4gto3k - That $600 you were told was probably from a supplier that was not listed on the first post of this thread. There are other suppliers out there but they all get them from one of two sources. A used tranny or Getrag. It's just a matter of how many middle men you want to pay. For example, CRS gets their stock straight from Getrag. Thus their wholesale pricing on most parts most of the time. Getrag will hold all the patents on all of the parts for these transaxles.
l33t - It seems I remember Frank answering this question for another memeber a while ago. If I remember correctly he can, BUT you have to call him and let him know exactly what you want so there is no mix up on accident which will result in drivetrain damage. You don't want to pay for the right gears and get the wrong gears on accident so DEFFINATELY call Kormex and talk to them.
