Welcome FemTex23, awesome to have here! 3,000$ is a really awesome price for a TT...If yo decide against Fury's advice there are some things to check. First, go see it during the day.... Second, have the guy start it and listen for any wierd sounds ( a light ticking is okay ((heavy emphasis on light)) if it sounds like someone is hammering at the bottom of the car, back away) Ask him if it is okay if you check the condition of the turbos... One way you do this by taking off the Rubber Hoses that connect the Y-pipe to the throttle body and looking at the connecting ends... See any oil pooled in there? If yes, you have a turbo that is getting ready to go... Any leaks, especially in the Transmission or Transfer Case area (Just behind the passenger side tire towards the engine and the front middle of the car) Any leaks from the rear end? Check the tires for alignment... These are a few things that should be checked before buying a TT or VR4. Any reputable shop that deals with Turbocharged cars should be able to do a Pre-Purchase inspection and know what to look for... Don't rush into a car that will look great at night sitting in your driveway cause its broke...

Like Fury said, any questions post away
