So to my knowledge (and correct me if i'm wrong please) the vcu is internal to the tranny. In order to get to it, do u just unbolt the tranny cover (passenger side) and its accessable from there? Also, to have it welded, can it just be taken out, taken to a shop, welded, and thrown back in there or does it have to be welded while in the tranny? SOrry i dont know much about this, but if its as easy as i've described, i could take my good one out, get a busted one from SFS and help an AWD guy out. Lemme know...
