For what it's worth I dumped ~$4K in to my car the first month I got it, then it was rock solid until I broke it at the drag strip 4.5 years later. Add in oil changes and misc. routine stuff and I was probably at the $5K mark before May 23. That set me back roughly $2,100. Total it all up, and in 4.5 years I have dropped ~$7,000 in to it to keep it running (
not counting actual go fast mods, since they are not part of regular maint.). That works out to $4.26 a day since I've owned it. I'd pay $4.26 a day to drive around in a car that can run mid 12s on pump gas and honest to goodness all season radial tires.
