The only way to access the sensor is from underneath the car or remove the panels. It looks real simple with the panels missing, but with them in place you can't see what is shown in that picture, It looks simple without the panels but I'm sure they serve a purpose. All I can see is the axle coming out of a slot in the panel, cannot see into the engine compartment at all.
