what do you guys think about this....
my engine is currently out along with the tranny and t-case. upon my inspection, i've noticed the input shaft and sleeve are both rusted. the input shaft is worn where the teeth look like triangles rather than rectangles. i'm not positive, but i'm pretty sure both of these were caused as a result of my t-case leaking. now, when i put my engine back in the car, obviously i'm gonna refill all the fluids.
are they gonna assume my t-case isn't leaking because it's full??
should i not "fill" it up all the way??
should i tell them i inspected it myself, or will they possibly try to say it's rusted because i removed it??
if they agree to replace my seals or the whole assembly, should i tell them i think the rusted sleeve caused the damage to my output shaft?? do i have a strong argument there??
